This one is going to be hard to write without some innuendos. Inguz ᛜ represents the building up of strategy, planning and action and then the final burst of energy and release. It is the creation process. The Big Bang.
In nature, we can think of volcanic eruptions, sun flares, flash floods, and even the emergence of 17-year locusts. They’ve all been brewing, stirring and now ready for a grand finale release.
When we see Inguz in our lives, it advises us to think things through before showing your hand. Never take “no” for an answer, and find a different way to succeed. Where there’s a will, there’s a way.
The actual feeling of Inguz is the feel-good release of preparation, hard work, frustrations, etc. And then that day comes. Your event has arrived, your speech, your presentation, your pitch. It brings up a feeling of elation once completed. The hard and uncomfortable work has created something amazing.
Sometimes what pushes us into discomfort is what will later bring us the most satisfaction once completed. What are you putting off that, that in the end, will bring you the highest reward? Is it a business idea? A new relationship? Home improvements? Remember how good completion feels, and get going.
Sometimes, it can act as a warning. You may be noticing all the signs of an eruption in your life. You can see the stirring of energy. How are you going to react? Prepare for defense and impact (Thurisaz) or uncover the tactics to calm the brewing storm (Kennaz).
The god Ing (Freyr) is associated with this rune, who is the god of fertility and prosperity. This takes it back to the idea of new beginnings and creation. Momentum builds. English words ending in -ing infer consistent action. Inguz asks for steps to be taken so that a goal is accomplished.
We are capable of anything we put our minds and hearts to. Create the right conditions for the seed of your desires to burst forward with life.
